Hello world! Yet again!

Guess who’s back? The techie, back after vanishing off the radar for a cool 2.5 years. Where was I? Working. Actually i was so caught up with my new career and not having access to my own computer with a decent internet access for over a year didn’t help either. Impressive?

Sony coming up with motion controllers

Sony, the makers of the hit gaming console Playstation 3, are currently developing a new technology which will enable the manufacturing of Motion Controllers. Wii and Xbox’s Project Natal finally have some competition.

Also announced was a price cut for this wonder machine, which means the new PS3 slim will be available for just $299, thats just $50 more than the Nintendo Wii.

Digsby the multi IM software goes bad, installs background running software without user consent

Digsby, the instant messaging application developed by dotSyntax LLC, has decided to go the wrong way and install badware without getting the user’s consent. The latest update which installs Build 23485 of Digsby has silently installed a software which makes use of CPU cycles when your computer is idle, and solve disctributed computing problems. Such a breach of user trust wasnt expected from this major player in the MultiIM market, and surely many users like me have decided to discontinue its usage.

WordPress 2.8.3 has a major exploit, upgrade now!

WordPress 2.8.3 has thrown up a major Admin Reset Exploit. We have all seen the numerous exploits and bugs that come up in WordPress. The latest to show up is a major exploit which allows any person to lock out an Admin from accessing their own WordPress Admin area by resetting their password. Though there is little chance of any compromises, the Admin would be frustrated to not be able to get in to the Admin Panel when he/she wants to do so.

EA starts dishing out Sims 3 expansion packs, Sims 3: World Adventures

Starcraft 2 release date postponed to 2010

Battle.net has put up a announcement that the release of Starcraft 2 will not be possible anytime in 2009. The new release date is early 2010, so keep watching the official Starcraft 2 website for further updates. If we could wait all these years, i guess we can wait a few more months.
